OH WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE?!
My bestfriend and I are really interested when it comes to historical figures, and we always try to meet all of them. (So far, I met Erap.)
So when we learned about her death, I was sad because in all those years I could have planned to go to these events where I could see her, I never really bothered or insisted to go. And now, she has passed away, and it is such a regret I have not yet seen even a glimpse of the woman who led our country back to having its own democracy.
Everytime I see the yellow ribbons tied around the city, it just make me more depressed that I won't be able to see her.
Earlier this morning, my bestfriend told me that she'd be going to usher in Manila Cathedral where Madam President's remains are in. She was able to sign me up as well to help usher, but as it will be starting 7pm and will end around 10pm, I was not allowed to go. It would have felt a bit nice to actually serve her just once.
My two cents:
Ninoy Aquino proved that the Filipino is worth dying for, Corazon Aquino proved that the Filipino is worth living for.
Salamat, Tita Cory.
